I wouldn't get too hung up on the perfect pronunciation - in my experience of visiting the Alps, however you say it will probably be wrong, but the fact that you're making the effort goes a long way with locals.

The Stinger uses a nylon roller so it's pretty quiet (like the Straightline guide) - personally, my rear derailleur makes more noise than my Stinger.

Yeah, that goat doesn't even have disc brakes! What a terrible present...

I've not had it long but I really like it! Only done a few trail rides so far and it rides really nice, good angles and pedals well. I used to have a Mondraker Prayer which was great but really heavy - this has an air fork and shock so not quite as plush feeling but a lot lighter.

I'm 6'2" and I had a large - felt really good although the seat tube was quite long. I cut about an inch off the top so I could get my seat lower on the downhills. I test rode a medium and it felt a bit cramped for pedalling, but great for descending. I'd probably say get a medium, you can always put a longer stem on.
